Recession Rates: Infusium 23 (Original)

Yes!! Yes!! Yes!!

You can probably tell I'm kinda excited, huh? Perhaps? Maybe? No? Well I am!!! Infusium 23 peoples!!! The original formula!! For $20!!!!! At No. 1 Beauty Supply, St. Michael's Row!!!!

*dance dance dance*

 *jig jig jig*

My sister, who has straight hair, bought this because when we were younger my mother used this on our hair. I've been looking for it to strengthen my hair and now that she has it...*heh heh heh*
I used it yesterday in a mix: Infusium 23, Aloe Vera Juice, Jojoba oil and a little Castor oil mix. Sounds something like the kimmaytube* leave in but it's not quite, not creamy and not enough castor or jojoba oils. My hair today was so soft ya'll!! :-D I'm so excited, lol. I'll do the same thing again and let you know what happens.

Have a blessed day peoples!!
Love,
Lee.

*Kim Love has been, and will continue to be, an amazing resource in the natural hair community. Check her out!

Recession Rates: Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Ooch! I almost forgot to post this tonight as it is waaay overdue. I found a 17 fl.oz. bottle of EVOO for $8.99 at Solo in Black Rock!!! What?!?! That's what I said!! $8.99. Go ahead, get some. Take a bag though because, as is the norm with wholesale suppliers, they don't provide plastic bags.
Side note: Go Green!

I'm sorry ya'll. No, I do not have a photo of the bottle. Somehow, and this thing still has me flabbergasted, somehow the bottle was on my bedroom floor without the cover on and the other morning as I was fixing my hair after my shower, I glanced to my left to see a glistening substance on the floor. Stupse!!! About 15 fl.oz. must have thrown away and I still haven't found the cover, smdh.

But, as it turns out, I don't think my hair likes this stuff very much. I've been using it on my scalp before I define my curls with gel and I have found that I'm having a reaction...my scalp itches some and I can feel bumps...I had to be the only one, huh?

Anyways, thanks for stopping by!
Love,
Lee.

Recession Rates: Shea Butter

I love Shea Butter!! It's one of the few things that I haven't stopped using from the time I went natural and it does so much for the total body, not just hair! I'll explain more in depth my love affair with Shea butter another time. Right now, I want you to know the rate!

The last time I bought my butter I got it from C.S Pharmacy and no where else was selling it in its 100% raw, natural state, that I could find of course. It cost $38.95. Yes! Almost $40($20 US)!!

Recession Rate *drumroll please*

I got my TWO tubs this time around from No.1 Beauty Supply on St. Michael Row for $14.99 for 16 oz. and $8.99 for 8 oz.!!!!! To be honest the one I bought before came in a slightly deeper jar, but the same shape so it didn't contain that much more! Probably only 18 oz.

Tip- I find that once you start going to a store and ask them all the time if they carry a certain product, they'll more likely than not try to get it! Very fortunate for my pocket. Get yours quick because two weeks ago they were sold out and I had to wait.

Do you have a rate you want to share?

Recession Rates: Suave Shampoos and Conditioners

Suave is a pretty much well-known brand selling a diverse range of products for both hair and body. The have their own range of "original" products but are best known for the products that are "salon proven to 'work-as-well-as" other popular brands. I'm talking about the Suave Professionals product line.

Many in the natural hair community in the U.S were talking about the Almond and Shea Butter a couple moths ago. Most things available there are scarce and/or unavailable so when I finally found it I was so excited! I found the 18.1 fl. oz bottles of Humectant for $7.50 each. Recession rate: *drum roll please* approx. $16 for the 32 FL. OZ 2PACK!!!

Ya'll see the difference in size?! I jumped all over that and was so sorry i had already bought the other on that same day! Ugh!
Rate found at The People's Market in Eagle Hall, St. Michael.

Gotta recession rate? Let me know. :-)

*Tweak Tweak*

"Is this link not working??"

As I get into this blog more and more, I want to make it better and better. So occasionally you may stumble across a link or tab that I'm currently tweaking. As I add more content, I'll add a couple more tabs and generally try to make this blog fun for me to write and fun for you to read! :-D.

Pardon Me?? is going to be about all those weird abbreviations you see while reading some of these blogs and on terms that people, myself included, just don't understand. I guess I could also have named that one 'Huh?', lol. If you've come across something that I haven't written about and you want me to, let me know.

I've always wanted to start a site were people could go and find the best price for whatever they're looking for. Soooo, Recession Rates is where I'm going to put price comparisons for the products I'm looking for and the names of the places where I find them. As we are all price busters at some time or the other, please feel extremely free to leave a message telling me where you've found the latest deal and the post will be updated regularly so we all stay up to date.

On occasion, you may also see a *SALE* tab go up that will contain any place that has a sale going on so check back often. As I think of new ways to make things better, I'll tweak some more.

Thanks for reading my blog!
