My Hair: Frohawk

Hi everyone!! It's my first (published) video!!
How to style your hair into a Frohawk with hair combs.

I asked my sister to make sure everything was okay before posting and she pointed out a couple things. Instead of recording that for a 4th time(yes, i know), I'll just place some corrections here. Please bear with me ppl....
  1. I know I asked her after she said it, but she wasn't speaking to me. I wasn't being malicious or anything, I swear. :-)
  2. I do NOT in any way mean to offend anyone when I said "you know how some women are." Some women, instead of complimenting a fellow woman on her outfit or hair, letting her know that she's fly, prefer to sneer and throw nasty looks around. I really don't know why and I'm sorry if I inadvertently offended anyone.
I hope you enjoyed the video none the less and please feel free to give me some feedback.

O.M.Gosh...I Have A TWA!!!

Hey guys! I hope you had a great day. Mine was a little...ugh...what's the word... :-S. Out with it, Lee!

Today I cut off all of my damaged ends! I had a really horrible dye experience last year (my family hey laffin cuz I almost cried when I saw my hair). As a result my hair was bright orange when it was supposed to be burgundy...that's right, bright orange and nasty looking. I had to go buy a darker dye to try to save face but it was still bad. On Sunday I started the process, thought I had finished cutting but realized I still had quite alot on my head still.

Sooo, I now have a TWA(Teenie Weenie Afro). My hair hasn't been this short since maybe 2008, so I'm calling this my second Big Chop! So when people ask me the date, I'll say April 5th, 2011!

Check it out!

P.S- My dude has no idea I cut my hair...I'll let you know his reaction, lol!

How's your hair today?

...well the first step was to get rid of damaged, split or broken ends. Since I had all three in spades, those orange ends i got as a result of a nightmare dye-job had.to.GO!

I would love to have nice curl definition, healthy hair and long hair. I can't have long hair nor a nice curl definition without having healthy hair so my length had to be sacrificed...but wow! it's really short. I'm not going to put pics up tonight because while I was plaiting it I remembered I really do not like how singles(or box braids) look on my head, especially on my short hair so I plait the rest bigger and will rock a TWA tomorrow for class. Therefore, right now my hair looks like kaka. I'll post pics tomorrow.

Wish me luck...

Kim Coles' Grow-Out Challenge

I'm starting the Challenge! Kim Cole's Grow-Out Challenge, that is.

The first step is to cut off damaged and splitting ends so bye-bye orange ends!!!
This is my hair as of last night:

I'm heading in the shower to wash and condition then to chop off these ends that have plagued me! lol Pictures to follow :-). With encouragement I think I can treat my hair soo much better.

My Hair: Deep Conditioning

I am in dire need of a deep conditioner, DIRE! My hair currently has too much protein. I know this because it's strong, but it doesn't have the elasticity it normally did. I haven't found the right routine for my hair yet. :-( I also wasn't deep treating it, :-(. Yes, I've been bad. Sooo before my hair starts to break, I decided to find a good conditioner.
I bought this:
On the back: Vitamin-rich, DPR-11+ is a Deep Penetrating ReMoisturizing Conditioner with 11+ Plant extracts, organic oils and vitamins. Moisturizing conditioners renew hair strength and elasticity leaving hair feeling like silk.

After walking around No.1 Beauty Supply for about 1/2 hour, the word 'elasticity' made me settle on this one. I just saw a post on NaturallyCurly.com and they are raving about it so I'm excited! I bought this 15 oz. jar for $15.99.

I also fed my little product addiction, tee hee hee.

I have heard some bad things about lanolin but when I first went natural I used this and my hair was healthy so, it's worth another try.

What deep conditioners do you use?
